My passion for photography and art began with private art lessons before the age of ten. My first darkroom was a tiny space, no larger than a small closet tucked back in an unused corner of my father's printing business. I started working for my father after school and on the weekends. After several years I became his business partner and then president of the company. I was responsible for all darkroom and camera operations, graphic layouts, and design support. As the business grew, it became a successful graphics, printing, and commercial exhibit business for over thirty years.
